Henry Dunham founded HD Building in 2007 with a clear goal: deliver high-end, architecturally designed projects with care and precision.
With over 25 years of experience across Australia, the UK, and New Zealand, Henry has worked as a carpenter, contract manager, and company director.
He is an active member of the Registered Master Builders Federation and has served as a judge for the Master Builders ‘House of the Year Awards’.
I heard about Henry through a friend that had used him for her renovation. He had an excellent reputation, and it quickly became apparent that he stands by it.
I was very clear about the direction I wanted to go with my renovation, and he listened to that. He worked with me, not for me.
Henry has a great team of like-minded guys and we had a really fun time working together.
Henry and his team have meticulous attention to detail and his commitment to a 5-star hotel quality standard is apparent throughout our home. This is our second project with Henry and once again he has delivered something to be proud of.
Henry and his guys are great and they have such high standards when it comes to the quality of their workmanship.
When big decisions needed to be made or we were feeling stressed, Henry would say “its ok, its all part of building”. He was just so approachable, and he just reassured you, and he has empathy. Henry understands what it's like building a home.
HD Building takes it personally. That’s the long and short of it. Big renovations have their stress points, and ours was no exception. Henry and his team were immaculate every day. They did a stunning job.
HD Building carried out an extensive renovation to our existing home. They were very professional. Living onsite during the renovation, a lot of consideration was given to the smooth running of our daily lives. The build was challenging due to the nature of the design, but this only made HD Building rise up to the challenge. The end result is a beautiful home of high quality craftsmanship.
We engaged HD Building to renovate a rundown 500 sq metre office space into a small hotel with a limited time frame. A difficult brief. Included was the major renovation of an existing restaurant — a new kitchen, new layout, accommodation, a shop, a function room and a office.
Working tirelessly throughout the building process, they came up with innumerable solutions to unexpected problems. The workmanship of the team and suppliers was of a very high standard; they finished the project on time and on budget; and we are very happy with the end result
